Twin Lakes: August 1, 2017

Jessie and I hiked up to Twin Lakes in Little Cottonwood Canyon. We were hiking up, thinking it was Lake Mary & Catherine, and the sun was in our eyes so we couldn't see the trail ahead. It was pretty steep, so we were just looking down at our feet while trying to get to the top. Jessie decided to put her hand up to block the sun to see how much further, and there was a moose right up the hill. She says, "Ummm, there's a MOOSE......" And I start freaking out and we just stop and wait for it to cross the trail. Then, along comes a hiker. We told him about the moose and he says, "Oh, there was one in my front yard the other day, right when I opened the door it was a couple feet away from me." So we hiked the rest of the way talking to him. Once we got there he said something about Twin Lakes, and we're like, "I thought this was Lake Mary & Catherine?" He told us where those were haha. His name is Dax, and I'm glad he clarified that, lol!
